she burns

embraced by tendrils
of fire simultaneous
ecstasy and pain

not to love without
suffering the innocent
transgression of need

yearning for that which
burning becomes her being
tantalusian touch

phoenix heart she burns with want

  1. Firstly, thank you for writing this. No matter what mood you’re in you seem to capture the reader effortlessly and evoke/provoke in them the emotions you’re struggling with at the moment. Secondly, This poem goes really well with the painting! and I’ve a weak spot for the Phoenix, and lastly thank you for the inspiration into what I want to paint next. 🙂
